Matt Price weekend in Ireland
Tuam Karate Club Faolchu where delighted to host Matt Price Sensei on Friday evening.
Matt Price, JKS English squad coach, is best known for his kumite skills and huge tournament success. However that is really only a fraction of his knowledge and skills.
The first of his weekend classes was Friday in Tuam where we explored aspects of timing and distance all in a fast paced and fun class.
On the night we also had Lorraine, Paddy and Regan successfully pass their grades with ease, well done to them.
On Saturday and Sunday Matt Sensei instructed and graded in Dublin, where I'm glad to say he was one of the signatures on my nidan grading.
Throughout the whole weekend all students who trained under Matt Sensei where engaged and challenged in exciting fast changing classes.
Fairly tired today however I bide my time until we can meet and train again with an exceptional man.

Well done to our fantastic hard training dedicated boys who travelled and competed in Moate.
Conor, Ciaran, Regan, Jayden and myself all put ourselves to the test.
Returning with 8 medals in total all the boys where exceptional making it through several rounds in any division that they didn't win or place in, always showing great spirit, etiquette and friendliness and support to all competitors.
Special mention to Jayden who was exceptional in his kumite, winning outright after successfully going through in 5 rounds.
Tuam karate students who deserve all their success.
