JKS Ireland Ready for Copenhagen

JKS Ireland held their final training session today before their departure for The JKS European Championships in Copenhagen , Denmark.
Led by Dermot O Keeffe Sensei 6th Dan the team have been training hard in preparation for the much anticipated event.
JKS Ireland have taken the innovative step of funding their squad by reinvesting affiliation fees into the development of their students.
This means unlike other karate organisations squad funding is not solely reliant on fundraising.
Tuam Faolchu would like to wish all the best to Team Ireland.

What about your Mammy???

For many scholars and athletes the nature vs nurture debate is a common one.
Are you a born talent or has training and study brought you to your current abilities.
Personally I've researched a lot about the subject and that's another days debate.
Today after bringing 10 of our students aged from 9 years to 14 to Squad training in Dublin, where they had to be got out of their beds before 6am by Mammies and Daddies. The evidence is larger than ever, neither nature nor nurture can prevail without those parents.
The parents who make sure their child makes classes, competitions, squad training and all the other demands.
No child can prevail without a supportive parent.
And I would like to say a big thank you to all of you who sacrifice your sleep ins.
