Family Christmas Cinema Day
Galway Faolchu Karate and Ace High Gymnastics had great fun at Christmas when we hired the Mall Theater for a "get in the Christmas mood" movie get together. I think we'll make it an annual event!!!!
Big Success for Galway at JKS English Championships
Faolchú Tuam Karate Club as part of JKS Team Ireland, travelled to Nottinhgham to compete in the JKS English Championships.
The team from Tuam, Co Galway trained hard all year to qualify for their place on the JKS Irish team.
All the hard work paid off when they gained huge success at the largest yet English Karate Chamionship with over 900 competitors.
Well done to all who represented their country and especially Laura Daly Kumite Gold, Regan Warde Kumite Silver, Dean Rigney Kumite Silver, Malcolm Murphy Kumite Bronze, Jayden Murphy Kumite Silver, Nathan Collins Kumite Gold, Cian Morrin Kumite Gold, Shauna Flynn Kumite Silver.

Makita Sensei in Tuam
We where honored to have Makita Sensei come to our dojo on Monday the 18th of November.
Makita Sensei held two classes, one for our Little Wolves and one for older students.
We had a wonderful insight into how I'd imagine the Japanese Little Children must train with intense detail to attention.
Sensei went through a series of drills for developing basic technique (that where tricker than they looked).
With the senior class, the focus was of a similar nature. Taking the basic mae geri and exposing the true power and genius of this magnificent instructor. However 90 minutes of training really feels like the tip of a deep iceberg.
Many thanks the JKS and Scott Langley for making Makita Sensei available to us in Galway.
