Well done to two of our original members, the consistently dedicated Róisín and Míchéal Brogan.
Also from Thursday Little Wolves Mervin Burke and Dylan Connelly (they made a run for it before I got a photo).

JKS Spring Championships
Well done to our students who travelled and competed in the JKS Championships. Especially Dylan Buckley & Regan Warde who came home with Irish Championship Medals.
Tuam Youth Bank
Jarlaths Boys School Tuam, The Mercy Girls School Tuam, The Presentation Girls School Tuam and Tuam Tec all come together every year to form Tuam Youth Bank. The purpose of this group is to research and examine the Tuam Community and decide on which project they would like to sponsor.
On Thursday we where invited to a presentation by Tuam Youth Bank organizers, where they had decided to award us €300 towards our annual Faolchú Inhouse Tournament. Our tournament is a vital part of our year, which most would consider the highlight! But we cannot run it without sponsorship, so we are very grateful to have been awarded the grant.
Because the Tuam Youth Bank scheme is designed for the youth of Tuam, we could not have applied for and been accepted for the grant without the time and work put in by Dean Rigney and Jadzia Murphy
So a huge thanks to them also.
Seeing the teenagers of Tuam running such a fair and professional program proves that Tuam has a very bright future indeed.

Little Dragons Success
Well done to Alana, Leo, Cian & Dominick. Who successfully competed at the Little Dragons Tournament in Ballina today. By all accounts in a well run and friendly event Faolchu students fought off stiff competition to place 1st and two 3rd places in kata and two 3rd places in kumite, narrowly missing out on a couple of close calls!
Big thanks to MVF and Zanshin for a great event.
