Midland Championships 2014

Our largest squad ever travelled to the midlands karate tournament, with many travelling to their first ever competition.

Kickathon Planning Time

We are now looking for ideas for our annual Kickathon and 5km run. Every year Faolchú Karate fundraise for a charity that supports us in our local area.
In previous years we have raised money for
2010 MS Tuam
2011 Hand-In-Hand
2012 MS Tuam
2013 Galway Hospice.

All funds raised stay in our local area, directly benefiting those who need it on our own door step. All ideas will be considered, however when choosing who to support it important to us that the charity is transparent and all of the money that is handed over goes directly to those who need it (no unnecessary wages or expenses).

 Faolchú Karate Class times for Easter break.
Clonberne Karate Club: No class on Friday 18th
Kilkerrin Karate Club:  No class on Saturday the 19th
Dunmore Karate Club: No class on Monday the21st
Tuam Faolchú Dojo: All classes as normal with the exception of the 5pm Little Wolves Tuesday and Thursday, who will be combined with the 6 o clock Tuesday and Thursday class.
Should you miss your regular class, you can attend any alternative class.

Jks Ireland Official Squad

Excellent work & hard training by Faolchu members on Sunday who travelled to Hokubu dojo to train at national squad training.

Malcolm, Alyssa ,Shauna, Laura, Sarah, Regan, Dylan, Jayden, Dean & Nathan once again proved their dedication to karate by getting up at 6am on Sunday and giving their all when they arrived.

On the day the squad to travel to the Europeans in Copenhagen was announced and we are proud to say Malcolm Murphy, Nathan Collins and Regan Warde will be part of the squad.

Jks Ireland Squad

Jks Ireland National Squad training will be held on Sunday in Hokubu Dojo at 10:00. The Irish Squad to compete at the European Championships Copenhagen will be selected then.

Clonberne Karate & Kilkerrin Karate

Tuam Student of the Month

Well done to Hack Haughey and Tiernan Leahy on winning Wednesday Student of the Minth in Tuam.

Tuam Little Wolves Student of the Month

Well done to our fab Little Wolves who won Student of the Month on Tuesday Sarah Brandon and Conor O Brien, Lukas Kiaulakis and Matthew Shalley.

Thursday Little Wolves Cathal Coyne and Cyril Iakimov , Giorgio Profidia and Ross Mitchell .

Yamaguchi Sensei 7 th Dan

Hokubu Dojo Swords hosted Yamaguchi Sensei on Monday night. Six of our Faolchu dojo karateka travelled up to get to train under this amazing JKS Japan technical director and elite champion.

We where not to be disappointed, the speed, grace executed in every lesson was awe-inspiring.

Looking forward to training with him again next year.

St Patricks Day

Tuam St Patricks Day Parade and Dunmore St Patricks Day Parade where once again a great fun and successful day out. A huge thanks to everyone who came to march and display their karate and of course the suuortful parents and the best Mascot ever.
