JKS Gasshaku 2013

Galway Karate Students training on Sunday.

Sunday was JKS Irelands first National Gasshaku and was held in Moate. A great selection of top JKS instructors taught various aspects of karate across the day, enlightening and challenging all students attending. Great character was shown by Faolchú students who attended, Noel, Nathan, Jadzia, Jayden, Cian, Regan, Aaron and Gordon.

All funds raised on the day went towards JKS Ireland Squad.

Tanden Dojo

On Friday myself and some of our Faolchú students took a spin over to Tanden Dojo in Longford. We where made very welcome by Alan Sensei and his student Jude and had a really enjoyable couple of classes. 

It was also great to catch up with Pat Murtagh Sensei and some of his students from Meath as it's been a while since we all got together in the same dojo.

Well done to Jack, Ben, Finn, Aaron and Dean (not pictured) who all successfully graded on Friday under Alan Smith Sensei.
